Cookie Policy
Last updated: 30 September 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how BEMAS – Belgian Maintenance Association vzw-asbl (“BEMAS”, “we”, “us”), organiser of the Asset Performance Conference, uses cookies and similar technologies on assetperformance.eu.
It should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which explains more generally how we process personal data.
1. Who is responsible?
The data controller is:
BEMAS – Belgian Maintenance Association vzw-asbl
Avenue des Arts / Kunstlaan 6-9
1210 Brussels
Belgium
Enterprise number: BE 0438.509.878
Email: info@assetperformance.eu

2. What are cookies and similar technologies?
Cookies are small data files that a website can store on or read from your browser or device.
We may also use similar technologies, such as pixels, tags, local storage or other technologies that enable information to be stored on or accessed from your device.
These technologies can have different purposes, such as:
- enabling essential website functionality;
- remembering your preferences;
- providing conference registration and event functionality;
- measuring how the website is used;
- measuring the effectiveness of our communication and advertising campaigns.
Some technologies are operated by BEMAS and others are provided by third-party services used on our website.
3. When do we ask for your consent?
We distinguish between strictly necessary technologies and optional technologies.
Strictly necessary and functional technologies
These technologies are necessary for the technical operation of the website or to provide a service or functionality that you have explicitly requested.
They can, for example, be used to:
- ensure the website functions correctly;
- maintain security;
- remember your cookie choices;
- enable forms or other functionality requested by you;
- provide conference registration or other event-related functionality.
Where these technologies are strictly necessary to provide the requested service, they may operate without prior cookie consent.
Optional technologies
Other technologies, including statistics and marketing technologies, are only activated where the required consent has been obtained.
When you first visit our website, you can choose whether to accept or refuse these technologies. You can also make separate choices by category.
Simply continuing to browse the website does not constitute consent.
4. Which categories do we use?
Functional
Functional technologies enable the website and requested services to work correctly.
This includes strictly necessary technologies used for website functionality, security, consent management and requested conference-related functionality.
Strictly necessary technologies cannot be disabled through our cookie-preference tool because the website or requested service may not function correctly without them.
Preferences
Preference technologies may be used to remember choices that affect how the website behaves or is displayed.
Where such storage is not strictly necessary to provide a service you requested, it is only used in accordance with your cookie preferences.
Statistics
With your consent, we use statistics technologies to understand how visitors use the Asset Performance website.
We use Google Analytics 4 for this purpose.
Statistics can help us understand, for example:
- which pages are visited;
- how visitors arrive on our website;
- how visitors navigate through the website;
- which content attracts interest;
- whether technical or usability improvements are needed.
Google Analytics cookies are not activated unless the relevant consent has been provided.
Marketing
With your consent, we may use marketing and advertising technologies to measure campaigns and understand whether our online communication leads to relevant website interactions or conference registrations.
These technologies currently include services from:
- Google Ads;
- LinkedIn.
Depending on the technology and your consent settings, these providers may use identifiers and information about your interaction with the website to measure advertising performance, attribute conversions or support advertising audiences.
Marketing cookies and similar technologies are not activated unless the relevant consent has been provided.
5. Google Tag Manager
Asset Performance uses Google Tag Manager to manage certain website tags and integrations.
Google Tag Manager is a tag-management tool. It is not the same service as Google Analytics, Google Ads or the LinkedIn Insight Tag.
The presence of Google Tag Manager therefore does not mean that optional statistics or marketing technologies may operate regardless of your cookie preferences.
Tags used for optional statistics or marketing purposes are configured to respect the consent choices applicable to those purposes.
6. PheedLoop and conference registration
Asset Performance uses PheedLoop, provided by PheedLoop Inc., as a functional event and conference platform.
PheedLoop provides conference-related functionality such as:
- attendee registration;
- ticket and attendee management;
- conference programme information;
- event-app functionality;
- personal schedules;
- event check-in and badges;
- other event-related services.
Asset Performance does not use PheedLoop as an advertising or website-analytics platform on assetperformance.eu.
When you request PheedLoop functionality, for example by opening or using the conference registration environment, technical information necessary to establish the connection and provide the requested event service may be processed by PheedLoop.
Strictly necessary cookies, local storage or similar technical technologies used to provide this requested event functionality are treated as functional technologies and do not require you to accept statistics or marketing cookies.
PheedLoop's processing of personal data in connection with conference registration and participation is described further in our Privacy Policy.
7. Third-party providers
Some optional technologies are provided by third parties.
Depending on your consent choices, data may therefore be processed by organisations including:
We use Google services for website statistics and advertising measurement, including Google Analytics and Google Ads.
These technologies are only used for optional statistics or marketing purposes in accordance with your consent choices.
We use LinkedIn campaign measurement technologies, including the LinkedIn Insight Tag, to measure the effectiveness of our LinkedIn communication and advertising.
These technologies are only activated with the relevant marketing consent.
The relevant LinkedIn entity for users in the European Economic Area is LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company.
PheedLoop
PheedLoop Inc. provides event and conference functionality requested by users.
PheedLoop is treated separately from our advertising and website-analytics technologies.
Some service providers may process data outside Belgium or the European Economic Area. Further information about international data transfers is provided in our Privacy Policy and in the privacy documentation of the relevant provider.

9. Managing or withdrawing your consent
You can change your cookie choices at any time.
Use the Manage Consent option available on the Asset Performance website to:
- accept optional technologies;
- refuse optional technologies;
- change your choices by category;
- withdraw consent that you previously provided.
Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that lawfully took place before consent was withdrawn.
Refusing statistics or marketing cookies does not prevent you from accessing the general Asset Performance website or registering for the conference.
You can also delete cookies through your browser settings. Browser controls are separate from the consent preferences available on our website.
10. How long do we remember your choice?
Our consent-management system uses functional cookies to remember the choices you make.
These choices are generally retained for up to 365 days, unless you delete the cookies earlier, change your preferences or we need to request your consent again.
We may ask for your preferences again when there is a significant change in the technologies, providers or purposes used on our website.
11. Changes to this Cookie Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy when the technologies, providers or purposes used on the Asset Performance website change or when legal requirements evolve.
In particular, we will update the cookie table in section 8 when we introduce or remove material statistics, advertising or third-party website technologies.
The latest version will always be available on this page together with its most recent update date.
A change to this Cookie Policy does not itself constitute consent to new optional technologies. Where new consent is legally required, we will request it through our consent-management mechanism.
