Asset Performance Conference 2024 Highlights

The Asset Performance Conference 2024 brought together more than 350 professionals to discuss the future of digital transformation, sustainability and asset management.

On November 13 & 14, BEMAS, the Belgian Maintenance Association, hosted the fifth edition of the Asset Performance conference at the Flanders Meeting & Convention Center in Antwerp. This year’s event attracted over 350 professionals from more than 25 countries, marking a significant milestone in the conference’s history.

The two-day conference offered over 60 expert sessions, featuring keynotes, real-world use cases, and interactive workshops. In a vibrant Networking Hall, exhibitors engaged with attendees, fostering connections over a sumptuous lunch and a walking dinner. All sessions were recorded and are now available on the conference’s online platform, allowing participants to revisit presentations at their convenience and explore additional webinars in the coming months. Attendees also benefit from access to a comprehensive library of over 200 recordings from past editions.

Focus on Digital Transformation and Sustainability

The Asset Performance Conference continues to be Europe’s leading event on digital transformation in maintenance and asset management. This year’s program emphasized Sustainable Asset Performance, Smart Maintenance & Reliability 5.0, and the application of Generative AI and digital solutions in operations, maintenance, and asset management.

“We are proud to offer high-quality, peer-reviewed content that provides valuable insights into the future of maintenance,” said conference director Wim Vancauwenberghe. “The unique format of our conference allows for live networking and builidng relations with other professionals in the world of maintenance and asset management.”

In the evening, an inspiring keynote by international basketball icon Ann Wauters was scheduled. In this keynote, Ann ‘’dunks‘’ into the profound impact of data and AI on team performance, providing examples of how top basketball teams use advanced analytics to fine-tune player efficiency, prevent injuries and create winning strategies. By analysing real-time data, teams can control player fatigue, optimise rotations and accurately predict opponents’ movements, leading to smarter decisions on and off the court.

International Participation and Networking Opportunities

The conference attracted a diverse audience, with significant representation from Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, and the United States. Attendees had the opportunity to engage with 25 sponsors, who showcased the latest innovations and solutions in the field.

Ongoing Access to Educational Resources

In addition to the conference sessions, participants can access a wealth of resources through the online platform which includes upcoming webinars and presentations from previous years. By offering a comprehensive online library, the Asset Performance initiative aims to disseminate knowledge on digitalization strategies and innovations across asset-intensive organizations in Europe.
